Brew at the Zoo

I spend the weekend in Outer Banks with a few girlfriends. The weather was absolutely perfect and the beach was definitely what I needed!
I went to London this May with my roommate Caryn for MINI United, celebrating MINI’s 50th birthday! I loved London, but didn’t nearly have enough time there, especially with the festival eating up both of our weekend days. I had a great time though, and can’t wait to go back to see everything that we missed!
My friend Anna spent a year after graduating in Scotland volunteering through her church. I, of course, had to go visit her. This was also the driving factor behind purchasing my Nikon D60. I knew I had wanted a DSLR but wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy shooting digitally since I had been out of photography for about four years, since freshman year of college when I changed my major from Photography to Marketing.
We had a great time, first in Edinburgh and then at the camp Anna worked at in the Scottish Highlands. I think this is the point where I truly started wanting to get back into photography. College, especially that first year in the Art Foundation program at VCU, had taken a lot out of my passion.
I went to Ireland in July of 2003, right after high school graduation. It was the first time I had been overseas and one of the first times I had even been out of the country! (Canada doesn’t really count to me, though.)
It was an absolutely beautiful country, and one I plan to go back to many many times.

I finally decided on my domain name, finally decided on a layout, finally decided everything. And here it is! Be looking for more posts to come soon!
