Looking back on 2009
December 31, 2009
This year has been an interesting one. It started off a little rocky but definitely improved. I’ve gotten back into photography, which was by far my biggest goal. And while my Project365 can be trying at times – I’m so glad I’ve done it. [Though after this one is finished in February, I'm not sure I'll be trying it again

Holiday Card Swap, Numéro Trois
December 24, 2009
Here is the third arrival for Brooklyn Bride’s Holiday Card Swap. From Andrea in Minnesota, I love the texture of the paper she used, with snowflakes, circles and even bark texture for the trees! Thanks, Andrea!
Holiday Card Swap, 2nd arrival
December 23, 2009
Another card from Brooklyn Bride‘s Holiday Card Swap arrived! This one is from Stephanie with Mel Stephens Photography. I absolutely adore the candy cane stamp and the simplicity of the card. Thanks Stephanie!
Holiday Card Swap, 1st arrival
December 22, 2009
My first card arrived from Brooklyn Bride‘s Holiday Card Swap arrived yesterday! It is from Kari who is getting married in April. I think it’s adorable, and I’m pretty sure I laughed out loud when I read the message. Too cute! Thanks so much, Kari.
Zoolights at the National Zoo
December 18, 2009
While the D.C. area is currently preparing for a a winter storm that sounds like it’s going to be a doozy, I wanted to share some of the photos I took last Saturday at ZooLights. As you all know, I love everything having to do with the National Zoo, like Brew at the Zoo, so course I couldn’t wait to see what they had in store for ZooLights. Enjoy!

Holiday Card Swap
December 11, 2009
This holiday season, I am participating in Brooklyn Bride‘s Third Annual Holiday Card Swap. I’ve never done anything like this so I was very excited to create my cards and I can’t wait to receive more creative cards in the mail! I sent my cards out on Wednesday evening, so I hope I won’t be spoiling any surprises for my swap group!
Here is a sneak peek at my cards! I hope you enjoy!

I will post pictures of the other cards I receive as they come in. What a wonderful way to be inspired and connect with others around the country! Thanks Vané!

These are great! I guess they allowed you to use a tripod? If they’re still up when I get back to town later this month I will have to check them out!
BTW – I added you to the blogroll on my new blog.
